The Bridge Rosters

How can I Volunteer?

Every member is reponsible for entering and updating their own duties.  Now that the rosters have been published for the next year think about where you can help out and how frequently you can help.  Please volunteer for as many duties as you can - many hands make light work!  Once you've considered your availability, follow this link to go to the editable version of the Bridge rosters.  Enter your name against the roster & dates you prefer.  There is no need to "save" your work - your edits go live as soon as you type them.

How can I swap a shift?

Every member is reponsible for entering arranging their own swaps. If you are unable to make a shift:

  • use the viewable roster above to find a swap
  • lookup the other member's contact details in the handbook (printed or online)
  • discuss & agree a swap
  • go the editable copy of the roster and make the changes to the roster for all to see

Kitchen Duty

The Kitchen Roster allocates 2 people on each Thursday for 4 - 4.30pm to perform kitchen duties which include:

  • turning on the dishwasher
  • collecting coffee cups, glasses and spoons
  • putting 2-3 loads through the dishwasher
  • wiping down the benches
  • turning off the dishwasher

You can still enjoy happy hour or get away before the traffic - whichever is your preference. Typically, depending on how many volunteers we have, you end up being rostered 2-3 times a year.

If you are concerned about operating the dishwasher, let us know and we will put you on with someone who knows how to do it.  That way we share our knowledge.

(Note the Kitchen Roster does not involve preparing party pies etc, operating the ovens or cleaning oven trays, nor does it involve collecting wine glasses for the bar)

Bar Duty -

time 4pm-5.30pm ...serve drinks, collect & wash glasses,RSA qualified

Setup Duty -

time 11-11.30, see attached table layout diagram
